The description of this will not do it justice but there was no way for me to get the video camera and catch it.  I was making chicken salad and Samantha was moving around the kitchen trying to stay busy.  She and I were playing boo in the reflection of the dishwasher.  She was looking at me through the reflection and every once in a while would turn to look at me as if "Gotcha Mom, that's not really me you're looking at!"  After a few minutes she got sick of looking at me in the reflection and stared at herself.  Then she started kissing her reflection!!!  No joke.  I thought at first she was licking it, but when I went in for an inspection there was no lick marks.  I could have died.  It was the cutest thing I've seen.

strike

I think I should go on blog strike until someone..cough cough Adam cough cough...puts up the rest of April and the May pictures we have.  I know he likes to read the blog I wonder if that would hurry this up.

Samantha has taken to making rounds of the first floor.  She starts in the living room and takes off for the kitchen, coming through the other side back to the living room where she started.  And she is Fast.  I need to get it on video.

those moms

It's official, I'm on of 'those' moms.  I don't get out a lot by myself.  Tonight I used one of my birthday gift cards to Massage Envy and got a long overdue massage.  The masseuse brought me back to the room and asked how I was doing.  The first thing out of my mouth was "Great, I just talked to my husband and my daughter fell asleep.  She was freaking out when I left so now I'm totally relaxed."  A quick "I'm doing good thanks" would have sufficed.  Why the need to say anything else?  Simple, I like to talk about Samantha.  Then since I had nothing to do but sit and be relaxed during my massage I came to the conclusion that all moms are 'those' moms.  We can't help ourselves.  Some of us just hide it better than others ; )

And, just because I'm one of those moms, here is a short list of Samantha things

*she can sit up from a tummy position all by herself!  She did it the first time yesterday, then again while my mom was here today

*Adam made the cutest video ever.  I laughed, I cried, I wanted to wake her up and snuggle her when I saw it

*Samantha LOVES apples.  I couldn't get them in her mouth fast enough today
